For all the peoples [now] walk every man in the name of his god, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever.

In that day, says the Lord, I will assemble the lame, and I will gather those who have been driven away and those whom I have afflicted.

And I will make the lame a remnant, and those who were cast off a strong nation; and the Lord shall reign over them in Mount Zion from this time forth and forever.

And you, O tower of the flock, the hill and stronghold of the Daughter of Zion, unto you the former dominion shall come, the kingdom of the Daughter of Jerusalem.

Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king among you? Has your counselor perished, that pains have taken you like a woman in labor?

Writhe in pain and labor to bring forth, O Daughter of Zion, like a woman in childbirth; for now you shall go forth out of the city and you shall live in the open country. You shall go to Babylon; there you shall be rescued. There the Lord shall redeem you from the hand of your enemies.

Now many nations are assembled against you, saying, Let her be profaned and let our eyes gaze upon Zion.

But they know not the thoughts of the Lord, neither do they understand His plan, for He shall gather them as the sheaves to the threshing floor.

Arise and thresh, O Daughter of Zion! For I will make your horn iron and I will make your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many peoples, and I will devote their gain to the Lord and their treasure to the Lord of all the earth.

we are the different ones.
we aren’t the ones who do this just because.
we’re not the ones on the cover of the magazines, or in the studios, or on the radio stations trying to convince everyone where our hearts are.

we’re the ones who have been redeemed;
and because of our wounds and our past we understand what that really means.
we’ve been covered with blood.
we’re serious. because He was serious.
life and death aren’t something we can just talk about on Sunday’s.

instead of feeling the need to be in the front of the cultural Christianity
we’re in the front of the battle.
we get up everyday and go into action.
because we’re constantly attacked.
life isn’t rainbows and roses when you’re serious.
yes we still laugh, yes we still enjoy. but only because we know our trials are worth the pain; and our future is brighter than death.

we really laugh. we really live.
we love when no one is looking.
we look where no one is loving.
we go in, and we’re not afraid of death.
take our lives! we don’t want them.
what comes after is of greater price.

and so we make ground.
because the enemy doesn’t know how to handle soldiers who aren’t afraid to die.
he cannot win.
yes, he gets a few lucky shots.
but we overcome. not by our own strength.
but by the strength of our Lion of a Leader.
by the strength of our King of all Kings.

no, we are not the typical Christians of America.
we’ve found something better.
we’ve found abundant life.
we’ve found true light.
we’ve found power.
we’ve found hope.
we’ve found the real Jesus.

how? we looked at Him.
we saw blood.
we saw pain.
we saw sacrifice.
and we saw love.

He gave it all for us, when we were dirty, when we were naked.
when we had nothing to offer Him.
and now, fully knowing we still have nothing to give Him,
we give our lives.

we are the different ones.

"And you shall know that I AM in the midst of Israel, and that I AM the LORD your God, and none else: and My people shall never be ashamed. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My Spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."
